@MidnightRider The what now?
@MidnightRider Logic is not their forte.
@LiberalLibrarian @slirt Oh, I don't want that anyway. Portability is key. 14 is already pushing my realistic limit.
@slirt @LiberalLibrarian An extra $20 for a different color? That's... odd.
@CJLavoie @LiberalLibrarian That's the one. Near Harvard Square. Sadly closed in 1995 after the owners got into major tax trouble.
@LiberalLibrarian I felt the same way when Elsie's closed.
If you were here (before 1995), you'd know.
@LiberalLibrarian Oh, right, I remember.
@LiberalLibrarian @slirt The sale ended 3 hours after I ordered it. It's back to full price. So, yeah, appreciate the tip!
@LiberalLibrarian It's the same phenomenon one of the evangelical ministers warned about last week - an alarming number of congregants are rejecting the teachings of Jesus in favor of Trumpisms. Preachers are being confronted with "why are you reading liberal talking points?" after quoting the Sermon on the Mount.
Okay, the "#Trump voters" in that CBS poll who think only he can be relied on for truth about anything *are* the subset of Rs backing him in the primary at this point, not all 2020 Trump voters.
I had wondered.
@LiberalLibrarian Dogs in coats are cute.
@LiberalLibrarian So have the seismologists... and even more, the media.
But lots of medium quakes really should make a huge one less likely...
@LiberalLibrarian One has to assume that the many smaller ones make The Big One far less likely any time soon...
@LiberalLibrarian My goodness, a reference I actually get.
Center-left academic type. Generally pissed about the state of the world but I know none of our endless crises are actually new because I'm a historian.
