The insurrectionists in Brazil cheered when the military arrived, assuming they were there to support the coup.
They weren't there to support the coup.
I guess someone should have sent the Military to the Jan 6 Insurrection?

In Brazil, Bolsonaro isn't president anymore, so...
Bolsonaro clearly tried to pressure the military into backing a coup immediately after the election - in that period when he was silent about the outcome and before his advisors told him he had no choice but to concede.
You can be pretty sure that came from his advisors once the generals had decisively said "no" to a coup.
