There aren't a lot of reasonable Rs... but you don't need a lot when the Rs can only afford to lose 4 votes.
@RiftRavingRogue The Rs have a majority, however small... they would never accept a D Speaker.
But if Kevin endangers them politically by coddling the loons, they can join Ds in bypassing him.
@RationalLeft I'm not buying it. The attack ads will be about their "voting with the Liberal Democrats". Ask Adam Kinzinger how that "voting for the good of the country" position played for him.

@RationalLeft that's a fair point. The GOP has not learned their lesson. I still think they would be primaried and/or have dark money ads run against them.
@RationalLeft wouldn't it be easier to capitulate a few positions on bills, committee chairs to just have these moderate republicans, for a lack of a better word, defect and vote Jeffries ?
