Gee, other parts of the fractious GOP caucus aren't happy that Kevin is giving total power to the MAGA fringe.
@TrueBloodNet Yes, they are right on this.
But apart from Rep Bacon, I haven't heard a single one of them float a deal with Ds.
@RationalLeft I don't think they'd say anything until the deal is done.
@TrueBloodNet But the deal apparently is not done. Norman, one of the key "flippable" holdouts, says he still isn't on board, and they all seem to admit that even a successful deal won't get Kevin to 218.
@RationalLeft SMH I just hate to see these hold outs having so much power. I feel the same if the far left tried to do this to Dems even though I've voted left of Dem center many times.
@TrueBloodNet I agree, but the refusal of the supposed R "moderates" to just say "screw this we'll reach a deal with moderate Ds" tells you how badly screwed up the R party is.
@RationalLeft I'm giving them till next week to get their gumption up LOL But there are very few Reps I have respect for any more.
@TrueBloodNet Unless they fall into line behind Kevin as a severely wounded, cripplingly weak figurehead before then.
@RationalLeft Only takes 1 to start the process all over again. LOL Too bad Liz and Adam are gone. :D
@RationalLeft
It only takes 6 of them to cross the aisle and the problem is solved.
@ArcturusSaDiablo Yes, but so far only 1 has even floated a deal with Ds, publicly.
@RationalLeft No one is forcing the less-insane Republicans to vote for McCarthy. They could end this clown show now if they wanted to. They could vote for Jeffries. They could demand concessions be made to them.
@RationalLeft Well I kinda agree with them. They need to pick a moderate and beg the dems for help.
