Goodnight all. Tonight I'm remembering something James Baldwin wrote, “I imagine one of the reasons people cling to their hates so stubbornly is because they sense, once hate is gone, they will be forced to deal with pain.” The Lord bless you and keep you!

Lockwood & Co. on Netflix was tweaked from being steampunk to modern (I guess to keep down costs of CG, sets and props), but otherwise the rendition was servicable and eased viewers slowly into the world. Already one friend in social media who liked it was introduced to the books.

P4: Some of their group stayed overnight at the beach resort, but others, like them, decided to go home. They chose go to McDonalds as a witching hour rest stop.

Anyway, before we got to the highway I told them the easiest way back to McDonalds was to go out the next nearest tollgate then exit near the McDonalds, which was only 2 km away. The other lawyer said they were already familiar with that area.

After I got out, he gave me his card and I thanked them for the free ride. No kidnapping.

P3: A fireman told them where to go, but somehow even Waze and Google Maps failed them and they ended up in our subdivision.

On a side note, the other day, on a bullshit excuse to check up on someone, I had called and said a firetruck with sirens on passed me on my way to work and asked if the fire was near their house. Possible moral: be careful what you cry wolf about, it may manifest.

Back to my convenient early morning "good deed": they came from an environmental conference in Anilao.

P2: As I directed their driver out the labyrinthian streets, he said I looked like a professor, despite being just in a tee with camouflage pants. I used to be, but just to keep things brief I concurred that I was. What did I teach? Math and science. He was a lawyer, and so was his backseat companion. They came from the McDonalds' near the toll exit but they had to go back because he left something. Since they left though, a grocery store near the exit caught fire. The way back was blocked.

P1: Leaving the house at half past 3am this morning on my way to work, a dark SUV stopped beside me and a guy in the backseat rolled down the window and asked how to get to the highway. I suggested I ride with them going out since it was on my way anyway. He said that was what he was going to suggest anyway and offered the shotgun seat. There was a moment of panic inside me. Is this my white van? Am I about to get kidnapped or robbed without even any offer of candy on the proverbial table?

l once lost my wife at Helsinki airport, she just disappeared
into Finnair...

Hey, CoSo! How do I list all the posts I favorited? Thanks!

It's not the romcoms that give us higher unrealistic expectations about relationships. It's insidious bite-sized music videos. I'm looking at you "Take on Me" and "I Knew I Loved You".

So I wanted to gift this friend of mine a novelty small music box playing the Star Wars theme, but they said they can't have that around their house. When I asked why, they said because they might suddenly hear it start playing. o_0

Does CoSo's Delete and Redraft retain any faves or boosts your original post had, or does it work like the bird app's Delete Tweet in that sense?

TIAL when you accept the weekly Top Fan Badge of a page in FB, if you hadn't followed the page previously despite having liked or shared some of their content (that you saw from "Suggested for You" or shared by likeminded FB friends, you automatically will be made to follow them. So, no thanks.

I'm not sure if the part about exchanging ideas and learning from each other is for real or just an excuse to increase connections, headhunt or sell some leadership material.

It's so great to have moved to a department in the company where there were no emails waiting when I came back to work from the weekend, and I actually didn't have a shred of dread going to work.

Imagine how much of a klepto for things that aren't yours you have to be to use someone else's reward points to order coffee regularly in the office, when getting caught and reported for it is so easy. But I guess compulsive thieves never weigh the consequences, do they?
