First reaction, maybe he could be a little more assertive about the Jan 6 criminals so they don't regroup and do it again?
I probably need a civics class or 5. But I would like to see more consequences for the folks trying to overthrow elections. If Merrick Garland can do that, he should.
@PamKeith I think he has to know what he’s doing. There’s an investigation going, they’re waiting til they have everything and they’ll take everyone down at once, probably after the senate hearings, hopefully before the midterms but definitely before the primaries in 24.
Garland has to make sure it can’t be seen to be political at all (although of course every R will immediately & forever claim witch-hunt).
They also had to root out the pro-insurrection agents before they could do anything.
@PamKeith I don't know what I don't know but I worry that the plan is to pursue cases vs the 1/6 mob and some of the mid-level militia types while going easy on the govt officials who planned it(& other crimes) in the name of "getting back to normal". Hope I'm wrong.
