Tell us: have you migrated between social media platforms recently?
We would like to hear from people who have recently switched social media platforms about their reasons why
@peeppeepcircus Working on my response to this now.
@peeppeepcircus "I hopped off of Twitter/X, completely nuked my account, as soon as Musk bought it out, I am working on closing out my Facebook, and moved to Counter.Social a few years ago. There's no bots, no spam, no ads, no algorithm to worry about shoving anything your way that you might not want to see." /1
@peeppeepcircus " And the user tools on the site are very helpful with self curating to see what you want, and block what you don't. I moved because the other social media sites have no morals and lack moderation tools to avoid the content you don't want to be exposed to."/2
@peeppeepcircus "And there's a lot of nice perks to the site, web-based video group calls, private messaging for subscribed members, and file sharing too. Everyone on Counter.social loves Alfred, the AI butler, he's quite helpful for explaining things that most people might not know and is a great conversationalist." /end
@peeppeepcircus "Because of her, I was able meet many wonderful people, actors/actresses, former armed forces members, emergency workers, teachers, authors from around the world, as well as artists on the site, and building quite a wholesome following of wonderful people." 2/ er 3 my bad, I'M WORDY!
@peeppeepcircus "The owner/op of the site is perhaps one of the funniest, and chillest folks I've ever conversed with, and he's pretty active on there too, available to talk to members and pro members if there's any trouble with the site at all." 3/3
@peeppeepcircus Oh and for further information box. "I've been a pro member of Counter.social for going on six years now, thanks to my old friend from Twitter, @mouses. (Rest in peace, my friend. 12/23)" 1/2
