Alrighty gang, I need some help. My fae child is in need of a computer to do digital art on, it needs to be able to run Clip Art Studio Paint and have wifi connection viability. Does anyone have a laptop, or PC that's gathering dust that can be donated to someone in need?

If anyone has one to spare, please let me know, I'll DM further information for working out the details.

At the moment I do not have the funds to afford shipping much less buying a new or used model, barely covering my own bills at the moment but I'm hoping someone on here might have a spare computer that isn't being put to use that they can donate.

Good news, found one on Ebay but I need to raise about $250 to be able to get it bought and shipped to them. I hate asking for help with this, but Jade is an artist and learning to use digital tools is really important to them, not just for internet connections but for their art studies too. Should I add my paypal to pool funds to get this laptop for her?

Screw it, if you want to share in a kind gesture in helping my Jade with advancing their interests and studies in art, this is my paypal, I'll be putting all funds available towards getting them a system that works for their studies and talented practice. paypal.com/paypalme/MelisaNola

@lenaoflune HOLY CRAP! LENA YOU ANGEL IN DISGUISE! Thank you ever so so much!

@lenaoflune I think you just made their year, hell perhaps even their decade with that, thank you so much my friend! Keep on rocking!

@lenaoflune I hope so too, they deserve a system that can handle the workload their art programs run with. And one they personally have control over, instead of borrowing a system from a toxic family member.

@PaganMother Absolutely! One would always have to worry about when said toxic family member would revoke access to achieve their own wicked ends :(

@lenaoflune Exactly, I'm hoping that they move away from that place soon, I put them in touch with a couple networks and organizations to help them flee to a safe state and with available resources to help them bounce back onto their feet with landing on new turf, I can only hope that they check those organizations out and contact them.

@PaganMother

Check online. You amy have to look around, but there are good deals out there. I bought a refurbished Lenovo Thinkpad laptop that runs Windows 10 and is a touchscreen off eBay for $100 a year ago and it runs like new. I use it all day every day for everything. If you go that route, just make sure you read reviews, return policy and their reputation as a legit seller. Mine was from a batch sold to the seller from a school which was updating their staff laptops.

@WaevetSmaevets I'll check into that, I'm usually wary of Ebay due to bad experiences with sellers on there, mislabeling and not holding to their end of the sale agreement.

@PaganMother

I hear you! Always read those customer reviews and make sure they've been around for a while. There are sellers who specialize in refurnished electronics. Those tend to be your best bet.
