I may have written yet another letter, this time to the Michigan House Speaker. Copy/Pasta on it's way with some mild edits to remove personal information.

"I'm writing to you as a resident of the great state of Michigan. I am Melrose, this is my chosen name as I am a
transgender person within this state, and I wish to share with the members of our governing system the weight of
problems we face in our state and the lack of action to handle the growing threats of hate groups such as American
Freedom Law Caucus, American Futurist, and Church Militant/St Micheal's Media, that have made their "home" within
our great states borders." 1/?

"At the moment I am writing, there are 29 listed hate groups that have made our state residence, members of
these groups target muslim, LGBTQ+, and minorities of our state with attacks of the physical kind, funding
towards hate legislation, and spreading misinformation about the minorities in our country in effort to effectively
ostracize, psychologically and physically harm those of us that simply want to live the American Dream and feel safe
within our own residences and communities." 2/?

"As a constituent of the 2nd district of this state, I believe these are a
priority focus to disband, disavow, and barr from forming in our state. I understand some of the ideologies that these
groups present are given in a way that makes their beliefs and direction sound to be logical and harmless, but they
are not.
To quote SPLC, "All Hate Groups Have beliefs or practices that attack or malign an entire class of people, typically for
their immutable characteristics." 3/?

"Let this sink in, we live in a nation that has had an explosion of hate groups growing
and forming due to the masks-off, gloves-off manner that Trump and his allies have presented their ideas on what our
nation should be, could be, under his presidency, and I think it is necessary that we need to ensure the safety of our
residents and fellow citizens of this country by dismantling and removing these same such groups from any step of
power in our governing system." 4/?

"I believe that we need to put into place accountability for every campaigning and
current holding seated politician in our system, not just a fact check but a verification system to ensure that the people
we put into power are not puppets to these same hate groups and their beliefs." 5/?

"Speaking as a citizen of this nation, I've witnessed the church and state violations happening over the last two
decades, not just in this state, but nationwide, and I feel that this is something that MUST be talked about. When I
vote for someone to speak for me in the offices of this state, I vote based on deeds, actions of their involvement in the
communities that I and many others are part of, their support and voice in our communities." 6/?

"I look into everything I can
find on the people campaigning to ensure that my choice, my vote, is the one that makes the most difference to
support the people around me, to advocate and speak for us without disillusion or bias, and I also watch for who is
bribing/lobbying with them. My immediate first red flag is any funding coming from hate groups, the NRA, and any
anti-LGBTQ+ organizations, even shell organizations for those groups can be traced with the access to the web in place." 7/?

"I shouldn't need to put in this much work to make sure that my politicians in office are
going to be honest, straight to the point with following their constituents' needs for change, and listening to their voters'
feedback.
I am no politician, no political science major, but I am a history enthusiast, and the recent surge of hate groups coming
to Michigan sends chills down my spine as I'm seeing the connection to past history repeating, here, in our own home
soils." 8/?

"I need my government workers, my politicians to stand up, to speak out, and to take action to dismantle these groups
for everyone's safety, not just their own.
I need our state to become a sanctuary for the LGBTQ+ that are being thrown out of their homes, beaten in the
streets, killed and murdered in hate crimes across the nation, dehumanized every which way we look." 9/?

"I need this state to hold its ground, united, because we are not stronger divided in house, home, or government.
I ask the House/Congress/State officials to band together, to work on a plan, to dissolve the hate groups in our state,
and to make the state a safer one for all" 10/?

"I've reached out to our governour, Gretchen Whitmer a few times in the last couple years, asking about hate based
legislation slanted to dehumanize, and harm the LGBTQ+ community in our state, to question the validity, to educate
on the misinformation that these bills that have been introduced are based off of, and most importantly to voice my
extreme concerns about the direction our state is heading if any of those bills were to pass." 11/?

"I'm sure if you choose to
ask her to share those letters of concern from me, I give her full permission to do so. In fact, show her this letter as
well, she may have some thoughts to share on the matters that I am discussing in this one as well." 12/?

"If there's one thing I've come to believe in the last 10 years of living in this state, it is that the system can change for
the betterment for all, I've seen it when the bill passed to allow for gay marriage to be honored in this great state, I've
seen it when our governor spoke out against lies that Trump spouted about her and her works here in this state." 13/?

"During the pandemic and I have seen it first hand, in how people treat one another in this rural fly speck of a town,
helping each other, uplifting each other, and defending each other from misinformation within our communities." 14/?

"The right thing to be done, is to dismantle these hate groups, to the ground and burn the ground that they had found
footing upon in the first place. And it starts with all of you. Right now, all of you hold the torch that can light a blaze that
can spread to the rest of this country, to remove the blight of hate that this state has become whispered about among
fellow citizens of our country. Action speaks louder than words, bare this in mind while discussing this letter." 15/?

"Because I
will be watching, for the future of the children, and the future of our state and our great nation." 16/?

"A concerned resident of Mi,
Melrose Nolan
P.S. As for that oblivious gentleman that represents my district in DC, it's clear to me that the gentleman needs to take
some time to read between the lines of the revived-KOSA bill, Internet School Filtering Act. If he does not use the
internet actively, he should reconsider any further votes on bills involving internet security and censorship as he does
not know what he's meddling in. Don't let the title of the act deceive you." 17/?
