A comment I left on lifehacker in review of the social platform alternatives to twitter. (It's a bit wordy, but yall know me, I'm word-happy cranked to the nth.)

A few things I wished to note about the review on Counter.social that wasn’t mentioned in this article.

While this is a one-man project, Th3J3st3r has an entire community of all walks of life supporting his initiative with this platform he’s created. Including myself. 1/

I have been a Pro member of CS for about two and a half years now, and I never once regretted my decision to back his project. 2/

The community itself has been running strong since about 2017, and there has been a few hiccups in connection between the App and the Browser site itself, due to attacks from other hackers and hacker groups, however, and I say this as a positive, he has defended the site, and it’s user base from the very start from infiltration, and abusive action, which populate many of the other social networks out there.
3/

The community itself is welcoming, helpful, and friendly, with a few outliers in the community that tend to keep to themselves. The site itself is designed with tools in the user settings that allow you to cultivate your own experiences, filters for hashtag and keyword muting, as well as hard and soft mute/block systems that help protect your user experience to your preferences. 4/

There are also optional tools for user preferences, such as PreCog, which changes the text to be more readable for those with Dyslexia reading issues, and bridging into the platform itself, there are VR realms, which were created based off of Hubs from Mozilla, which allow you to create a room tailored to your needs to share with friends and followers of your content on the site. 5/

Additionally, there are also the chatrooms, CoSoGroups, which allows you to create rooms specific to topic, or subjects you have interest in and wish to share with friends and other community members that take interest in the content as well. 6/

And there is one last thing to mention, CoSoCalls, a privacy secured feature that allows you to video call and chat with whomever you invite to the call. We often have Movie Nights in the VR realms weekly with the Pro community member base, and sometimes other events that the community itself builds! 7/

Now, I don’t know if this is more information the review deserves to have, but I felt like it was my duty to add further information about Counter.social and all that it contains within the Pro membership offerings that Jester runs the site with. But I call this place home. /end
