Tyr send his biscuit making greetings to all. And yes I'm lying down.

@PaganMother After my sister-in-law explained "making biscuits" to me, I started practicing Welsh by saying, "Mae'r cath yn gwneud bisgedi" (The cat is making biscuits) and wishing the cats in the house "Bisgedi hapus!" (Happy biscuits!)

@weirdfizz mhm they do it to mark territory but also to let others know they are happy or satisfied. There's glands in between the toes of their paws that leave small amounts of their scent on cloth and other surfaces, it's trace scents so it's not like really pronounced.

@PaganMother I don't know if "making biscuits" is a more recent phrase, or a regional thing (five people in our house from three different regions of the US), but I had never heard it before. She very casually said the cat had been making biscuits on her, and I was like, "The cat WHAT???"

@weirdfizz 😂 yeah the term making biscuits because they knead to mark territory on people or around people. I'm not sure if it's regional but I think it's something that's US originated
