For the parents with kids that are questioning their own gender identity, or unsure of what it means: I would recommend drawing stick people with the colors most recognizable for boy, girl, and nonidentifying and using this as a way to explain that our brains are not always wired to identify as our bodies were born to be. It's something I used to teach my son to learn to accept that mommy is still mommy, just going to be more boyish in appearance soon.
