I had a third interview for a new job. I got called a unicorn……is that a good thing??? WTF do they mean by unicorn?? 😂🤣🤷🏼♀️
@Olivecatto Unicorn = Rare and magical.
It's a good thing
@Olivecatto A mythical creature, unbelievably hard to find and a rare, pure soul.
Either that or you are too unique to fit in with the other creatures in the building.
You're gonna have to figure this one out yourself, I think. Good luck!
@elbutterfield thanks!
@Olivecatto That they were looking to find a single person with multiple qualities that rarely happen in a single being.
So, basically, it probably means they've hired you to do the work of 3 or more people, and pay one salary.
Sorry. I'm very cynical.
@AskTheDevil nope no sorry needed. That is most likely true. They haven’t hired me yet.?I headed up to Idaho Monday to check out a practice and see if it’s something I really want to take on and negotiate pay.
@Olivecatto I'm always glad when people know that they're not the only person getting interviewed. You are also interviewing the company to see whether they meet _your_ standards!
Thank you for being a good example to others!
@AskTheDevil also I would not have posted if I didn’t want feed back. I appreciate the honesty.
@Olivecatto I don't really think everything is as bad as the worst-case scenarios I sometimes come up with, but I do think it can be self-protective to remember that sometimes workplaces ... aren't open and honest about challenges present in the office.
Most likely, what they really meant was that you have several talents they did not expect in a single candidate.
@Olivecatto So good it can't be true, but is.
