Alright CoSo help me out if you can! I got my bachelors in business management recently. I need to find myself a grown up job. I look in the job boards but they want you to enter keywords or titles. My problem is that I have no idea what I actually want to do. I’ve been working 60+ since Christmas and my brain is mush. What stupid key words should I search…..😂 Management etc isn’t giving me anything I want.
@Olivecatto also want to add a general business management degree can be used almost in any field it gets your foot in door for a lot of positions. My advice is think about what field first you are interested in and apply for an entry level salary position. It helps if you know someone in a company to get you recommended too. 🤷♀️
@Olivecatto I always think purchasing is a good place to start. You can get an overview of the company's products, some of the economics of getting them out the door, negotiating prices with vendors, familiarity with a variety of technologies relevant to the company's products, without the burden of selling and quotas. You may have KPIs about how much you need to reduce costs in certain areas, but I see that as somewhat less of an issue when you are first starting out. Search for "buyer"
@Olivecatto is there an industry you are interested in? You might explore terms that are more specific that way too. See if the college that took your money has a placement/vocational guidance office or alumni association to help you directly.
@Olivecatto Soooo I have same degree and have worked in various industries in my career managing people. So my first question would be what experience if any in what area do you have in this management field exactly?
