Not a single female on the list.
I mean, come on, no Grace Slick??

@OldDeckHand

Carol King.. Janis... Chrissie Hynde... on and on...

Stupid list. I would't have put half those people on it

@OldDeckHand Let's replace Bono with Tina Turner for starters. I really like U2 but he isn't top ten.

@stueytheround @OldDeckHand

Fems missing from list:
Janis Joplin
Stevie Nicks
Patti Smith
Debbie Harry
Pat Benatar
The Runaways
Cindy Lauper

Im tired so i will stop here

@OldDeckHand I concur.

But no Maynard James Keenan? The guy has THREE BANDS!

I can only conclude that readers of Rolling Stone who took this poll are ignorant of true vocalist talent.

@OldDeckHand Out of that list I would have put Freddy Mercury on top. I think that list is more of a fan favorite list than an actual judgement of their talent. Amd yes there are many great female singers who could have made that list. Balin, Kantner and Slick together were heavenly.

@OldDeckHand Joan Jett? Grace Slick? Janis Joplin?

Looks like a Rolling Stone doesn't gather any ladies.
