The weather's changing, and I've turned the heat on. These two are suffering from a serious case of STATIC CLING when I brushed them.

You'll note, it does not have any affect on their mid-afternoon, pre-evening nap.

@QueenOfEverything I don’t know if everyone’s pets shed twice but mine are dropping hair like it’s springtime. Can’t see the carpet kind of shedding. And then it clings to everything! 🐈‍⬛🐕

Hmmmmmmm... actually cats (and dogs) are putting on the full coats now. It's always intrigued me... because even indoor-only, like mine, who are never in contact with outdoors weather... still put on full coats starting in the fall, and shed like crazy in the spring.

Are your animals spending time outside... and have you had weird weather snaps... like cold and then really hot for a couple of days- because that can freak out animal's coats?

@QueenOfEverything it seems the indoor cat has adopted our mostly indoor dog’s annual Fall shed. She’s border collie/pyrenees. Sheds the long hair first in Spring followed by the undercoat. Then the undercoat sheds again this time of year. 🤦🏻‍♀️

@NorCalCherylLyn

That's interesting! Stranger things have happened! Yes, I just noticed I left out the undercoat... my cats are shedding that too- that's what's causing all the static cling. HA! My raccoons & possums are putting on big furry coats!

@QueenOfEverything it is the time of year for bulking up so the 1/4 inch of fur on my floor is confusing.
