Being a train fan this sounds fun. May not make it but will put it in my calendar. I want to compare this behemoth to the one that was our playground when I was little.

My DD & SIL a couple of years back with #9 The Slim Princess a narrow gauge engine retired in the early 60s I believe. She’s at Laws RR Museum in Bishop CA.

One of my sons is a train fan and, of course, so is Sheldon. 🚂

@ellesu trains are really impressive. I’ve been to the museum in Old Sacramento. That’s very cool! And every time I get home I visit Laws. The train station still smells the same, like dust, leather and oil.

A few years ago hubby was working a contract in Corvallis, OR and we stayed at an old train depot where the upstairs had been restored and remolded into rental suites. My imagination would run wild thinking about the history.

@ellesu that sounds like a really cool place to stay!! I love the old stations that are still used. Looks like you’re in the 1800s. Lots on the Californian coast are cool old ones.
