@Graci I feel that to some degree too. Maybe folks should start moving IN to dilute the ugliness? But I sure don’t want my Gson and his hubby there.

@Graci @NorCalCherylLyn leaving and taking your taxes with you is fighting. A mass exodus could be devastating to a State's budget, especially if it happens right before a federal census.
It's harder to leave somewhere, but MUCH EASIER to just never go in the first place. So, over time, places this backwards will just keep falling behind ~ those who CAN leave will, and many who are considering a new scene just won't land there.
But, in our system, the "penalties" (political, anyway, and in some cases economic) of sparser population are blunted. Wyoming and California have the same power in the US Senate....
@CLManussier @Graci I hope the attrition of their population loses them so many in Congress that they can never affect our budget again.
The Senate is an issue harder to fix but really needs to be done. Same with the electoral college. Antiquated laws and procedures need to be updated for modern society. #politics
@NorCalCherylLyn I go back and forth. There's the argument that, if everyone leaves, who will stay to fight?
