They forced through an already unpopular candidate, then tried to undermine her at the last minute because they were setting the stage for their _real_ (male) choice, and then Trump swooped in on his CNN-branded broomstick and took that election.
She lost due to her existing image, primary tomfoolery, and lesser-evilism.
