I don’t know about anyone else but after the Jan 6 insurrection I take all threats of violence by GOPers as serious threats.
Just like tfg on that horrible day DeSantis was sending a coded message to go and do harm to Dems and Federal employees. Take their words seriously because we’ve already seen what they mean to cause with them. #politics

Going further back, to Palin's ""Don't Retreat, Instead - RELOAD" and her map of targets, they phrase it as a metaphor, but they know that some whackadoodle will take it seriously. It gives them cover, while also achieving their goals. The wider their audience, the better the chances of getting the intended outcome.
