How many out there have a project car? Is it sitting waiting for the funds or are you getting it done?

Ours is sitting so far. Bought it a few years ago cheap from a neighbor. It came from Germany with an AF Officer that was transferred to Beale AFB but was made for the American market. The transmission died pretty soon after we got it, maybe because it sat for yrs.

Hubby’s arthritis has gotten so bad and he can’t handle major automotive any longer so it’ll be $$$$$!

@NorCalCherylLyn

I have a project car. It sat for a few yrs on a lot during the pandemic while my mom tried to sell it. She ended up giving me the car instead. Needs servicing and also has a recall. Drove it for the first time today, pretty good ride but it still needs to be checked out because the car sat out in the elements for two years without a cover. Needs new weather stripping and I have to fix the rear windows. The engine is clean and it drives smooth. Needs to be started every 3 days.

@Redskye572 nice! Glad you don’t have major fixes.

We need the tranny, the entire interior and a paint job…that we know of. 🤞🏻🤞🏻 that is all.

@NorCalCherylLyn I’m hoping I don’t have any major fixes after it gets its check up.

@NorCalCherylLyn yeah. Even a basic oil change these days is a bundle. I was surprised to be quoted between $110-$140. Excuse “it’s a luxury German car, needs high performance oil”. How much to change the oil on your Mercedes?

@Redskye572 I’m not sure. Hubby was doing everything himself until recently. I’m prepared for sticker shock though.
