I wrote out the goals Im working on, and then I asked myself, would the immediate choices I'm tempted to make help me or not?
It was pretty clear that they wouldn't, so I took a step back, reminded myself that I was more than my immediate wants, and decided to clean the kitchen.
I got into it, cleaned the counters and the cabinet faces, and with it looking so spiffy it inspired a lot of joy and suddenly, I'm doing just fine.
Refocus, Reframe, and shift!
I made certain that my day today was a recovery day
Sunday's I normally take off to a point. I don't do my half hour wake up warm up exercises (Plank, push ups, etc) nor do I see to do any heavy activity. I try to get a walk in or something like that but today I just kind of floated around
These are the hardest days to keep to my calories, and I was feeling sorely tempted. Light days do not mean thrown everything out the window, after all
So I journaled, and focused on equanimity/perspective
@SteveMurgatroyd Hello Groovy soul! Thank you for joining me on the journey! ^_^
Good morning groovy souls!
Oh I wanted to sleep more, but I was also eager to greet the day!
The birds are singing their serenade to the dawn, the air is clean and fresh.
It is a great day, full of not only these small joys, but also the wonderful blessings we find in each other.
Onward, toward the dawn!
