The pace has been much lately but I’m holding together. I’ve had some grumpy moments but I’m being well buffeted by my practice and my daily foundations.

I’m feeling much more grounded and present as the days pitch and roll around me.

@Soldier_Solitude oh I am a nomad most definitely. I’ve been home less than I’ve traveled this year. I also love nature.

Vet visit complete! I’m a healthy beast.

My spirit sister surprised me with a new pillow too, that packs down smaller than a water bottle but is big enough not to creak my neck when fully expanded.

It has taken some doing, but I have completely revamped my sleep system over the course of a month.

It started when my existing mat no longer held air. The one I replaced it with, has been a game changer in terms of warmth and the buffeting of my sleep quality.

It led me down a "rabbit hole" of reevaluation of my kit.

My new blanket arrives today, that promises better R value, at simile size and weight to my current, worn out one, and I am excited to see how this translates to sleep.

@Soldier_Solitude Sleep and I have a lifetime struggle bus relationship, but its been getting better and better as I've worked on meditation, and my exercise.

I sleep on a mat because I like being close to the floor. It's something that goes back to childhood. I like tight enclosed spaces that are down on the ground. Up high I feel exposed, and its harder for me to sleep.

I also like the simplicity. When I travel my mat rolls up and comes with me so home is where ever I roam.

I'm off to the vet this morning for my yearly checkup so I must be on the bounce! Gotta get my run in before I meet the vampires for the blood draw.
