Coso keeps flipping this upside down and I don’t know why so here it is with me having it flipped upside down, and COSO doing it too. Maybe one will post right, if not, it’s time for Yoga!

I have had a solid and joyful day seeing my buddy’s place back to order. Renovations are underway to repair leaking windows and roof and the drywall crew kicked up the dust! I ended up scrubbing the kitchen top to bottom and washing most of the dishes.

I ventured out for a few miles walk in the crisp late fall air and just returned. It feels good to do meaningful work and then enjoy the cathedrals of nature.

Yesterday had its stressors, certainly but it was also full of joy. It is the balance that holds all life!

Today will have its stress and its joy too, but each moment, good or bad will be a teacher.

No run today, the body is in need of rest, but when it warms later I think I’ll take a walk.

It is a great day, because we breathe, because we have the capacity for working miracles with a smile, or a kindness.

Onward, towards the dawn!

This is a pretty great recliner.

Today was very hard. I had to push through even more than the longer run yesterday. Trials training! By facing hardship I am more ready for the challenges that the Norns have fated for me. Onward towards the dawn!

My student loans have been a weight over the last 20 years of my life. I know I took them out. I went to college to be a minister and was counseled that my student loans were an act of faith. Christianity was not my path, their God was not my God. It was an expensive lesson that’s crippled me financially for decades.

I just got this email. There is hope that this burden will finally be over. On my current plan at 300 a month I was looking at a payoff date in the 2050s.

Big evil hill. Very cold. Did it anyway. Gonna shower and rest a moment. Tired.

I normally wear this to and from the gym. I’m always cold. Today I’m going to be really cold but that’s reasons to speed up! #morningrun

Gearing up for a run with temps in the high 30s but no rain, praise the Gods.

I hear boss music. 10k, a monster hill, this is going to be epic and challenging.

My greatest opponent is my own mind, not the terrain.

Soon the battle will be joined! T minus 25!

I will be running under the dawn light, as it should be!

It was a cold wet morning, 45 degrees and pouring down. I thought it would only drizzle, nope, it drenched me. I got back in and my clothes were so wet they were heavy, but I saw it through and had a great, if cold run.

The sun is shining now. I hope tomorrow the weather will be better, but either way, the run must be done.

I wasn’t the only one out there. I passed a runner in high vis gear, and we said good morning. I replied, “Lovely day for it!”

It is not simply order for order’s sake, or for habits sake, but a continual reminder, this is the path, this is the way, every moment is a moment to realize it, and no moment will ever repeat.

There is a depth there, that I have not realized. It is not just duty, it is focus, it is not just proper honor, it is the continual moment of steps. It is breathing.

And it is not a burden, it is the way.

I am a sleepy beast! Schedule is all over because of travel but I’m getting to bed and can’t run until sunrise so it will sort.
