A friend of mine told me he hated to live in uncertain times, but I realized as I thought about that, that the time one is in is always uncertain.
It's only the past that is certain, and even then, it will be interpreted.
We are all unreliable narrators.

it's true everything is uncertain around us. but i would prefer to live in more 'boring times'.
there's a chinese curse about 'may you live in interesting times'. it took me till my 40s to really understand that.
@NiveusLepus The only real difference is the amount of technology - change is constant, though our rate of change is significantly advanced over our ancestors.
