Your periodic reminder that mosquito “dunks” are a vital weapon in the war on mosquitoes. Add them to standing water (especially after heavy rains) to suppress proliferation of mosquito larvae. They’re safe for wildlife and pets.
Is this a seasonal thing? Put out mosquito dunks in th spring and summer?

Even in winter? Don't mosquitos freeze in the winter?
@QueenOfEverything Here in North Carolina we can have winter warm spells, but I mostly use these in the other three seasons.
I miss North Carolina. Loving Washington state- daughters live in Seattle.
But the weather does get colder here- I'm worried about the animal critters in the winter- but I think the mosquitos here fly to Hawaii for the winter. 😎
WA also gets LOTS OF RAIN- so I'll start putting out the mosquito dunks in the early spring.

I live near Longview, about an hour north of Portland, and 2.5 hours south of Seattle.
I'm in the Tacoma area. I really wanted to visit Swan Island Dahlias in Canby, OR but daughters were busy and not up for the drive for "FLOWERS".
