I've a new long format post discussing the Zero Trust cyber security model and how you can implement it at home for FREE. It's a long post (tl;dr link included,) but if you are concerned about staying as safe as you can be while using the Internet it's well worth the time.
Made a simple dinner tonight as the partner had a memorial service to attend. Bockwurst, potato (yellow) and cabbage saute with green apple. Salt and pepper to taste. Potatoes pan fried on medium heat in .5 ounces of bacon grease until mostly done. Add the meat, cabbage and apple, cover and cook 10 to15 minutes on low heat until cabbage is done enough for you. Remove lid and cook at medium to medium high heat to drive off excess water. Only 44 calories an ounce. Yum! #CoSoFood #whatsfordinner
I don't often say things here; other places never. But I do have things to share - long format. That's why I have a blog. It's not "public" as I don't allow search engines to index it. While I do opinion pieces sometimes, I mostly do posts on science, technology, and cyber security. That last is technically oriented how-to pieces on making yourself more secure at home and abroad. I've been doing IT 40 years. I've some expertise. If you'd like to know more: https://mirkwood.runedar.net
@NancySmith It's a creature with a 3 to 4 inch gate that places it's hind feet where the front feet were and has a thin tail it drags. Too big for a house or field mouse. I'm going with packrat.

B12. It's not in plants. We can add it to plants, but that's an entire industry of itself. Don't know the enviro impact of that, but don't like the idea of relying on big pharma to produce such a requirement. Eating meat really isn't the issue either. It's the kind of meat & how damn much we eat. 3 oz gives all the B12. We eat that x3. But cutting back is insufficient without a move away from inefficient meats like beef. Or we can trust big pharma. I'm going to keep eating chicken.
#AI is a tool. Like any tool, it can be used to create or to destroy. Like any tool, it can be misused.
Making blanket conclusions about it is a bit like declaring that hammers should be ridiculed because they only exist to smash fingers. It all comes down to how it's used.
Also, mark my words, proper AI use will be a marketable skill in the not-too-distant future.

Last night we had another occultation of Mars by the moon. Here's the best image I got of it, including a cropped "close-up" version.

More comet images this morning. It will take me some time to sort through them and process them. But here's one in the meantime. The nucleus of the comet is a little fuzzy in this one, but I wanted you to get some idea of the length of the tail. #Astrophotography #Astronomy

This is just so cool. I hope to be able to visit the Royal Tyrell Museum (https://tyrrellmuseum.com/) this summer and I really hope this will be on display #fossil #dinosaur #Paleontology
That's a ton of disengenious BS @Kimmycott. My wife bought a Chevy Volt. It cost less than my gas Toyota Camry. We use it for all our "local" trips, which is like every day in about a 60 mile radius. It uses less than $10 in electricity a month to charge. The charge station cost less than $300 w/ install. It's 240 volt like a drier or oven. There are virtually no recurring maintenance cost: no oil, radiator, etc. It only lacks range, but that's not an issue for 90% of our needs.
