#Geek friends: What does this mean in non Geek?
Your Google Analytics account needs immediate attention. Our next-generation measurement solution, Google Analytics 4, is replacing Universal Analytics. On July 1, 2023, standard Universal Analytics properties will stop processing new data. If you also use Google Ads, this means that any Universal Analytics data that you're using with your ad campaigns will start to degrade and your ad performance may be impacted.
@Nick_Searles Assuming the message is real, it means advertisers need to switch to the new platform or they'll miss out on important ad metrics and, eventually, the old platform will cease to function altogether. The average, non-advertiser user will, in all likelihood, not notice anything amiss.
@POOetryma Oh, ok. I am not an advertiser, so I should be good.
@kel @POOetryma I do have websites. Dammit to hell, lol.
@Nick_Searles Should be as easy as updating tags in your headers, but again, been a while since I delved into this.
Good luck! @POOetryma
