I have been worried almost sick that the Orange Fascist will “win” this election with more cheating.
Then my package of 200 postcards showed up in the mail today.
OMG! Can I do this? With my arthritis?
YES! I can and I will! This is my antidote to election anxiety. I will focus every single night after work to complete as many cards as I physically am able.
If I can inspire even a few people to vote who otherwise might not, I will have done my part.
It’s a practical magic, sent with the intent to inspire democrats to vote. 💙
Mine are all going to voters in swing states.
@Myrth yessssssssssssss
you got this, my friend. google some hand exercises, get a very nice pen.
i use rubber stamps to reduce the amount of writing i need to do, because my hands also hurt.
i've ordered stamps from this seller before: https://www.etsy.com/listing/755672009/rubber-stamps-for-get-out-the-vote
is that essentially a fountain sharpie? looks nice.
i do like sharpies, and gel pens :) i've been meaning to get another fountain pen.
right now i'm using a pentel energel. relatively comfy to write with for an inexpensive pen.
The RSVP is a thick barrel, rubberized grip, balanced, lightweight pen. If you like to spruce up your post cards with colored ink, RSVP has refills in a lot of colors on their website. (Pentel website)
I’ve been writing with these since 1997, exclusively.
If you use these, when you take the cap off to write, always place the cap on the other end, it’s part of the balance.
i usually use thin tipped sharpies on my cards for some color :)
@Myrth
I'm doing that too!
I'm writing them specifically for a local election, for a candidate I know personally, and when I write each card, I like to pretend I'm imbuing it with a little magic that will inspire the recipient.
It's silly, but makes the process less boring.
