Hubby and I got word that not only one but two aspects of our life has been hacked. Health records and our local credit union. I'm pissed .. Now I'm thinking of signing up for an outside entity to monitor our identity.. like lIfe lock.. but Hubs is against it. So... as I roll my eyes to the heavens.. I am the monitor and will check our credit report weekly...

@elmaxx so far things are good. I have checked our credit report..till continue to monitor.. hubby needs to understand.. I, too, am old.. (sigh)

@MrsE0113 If you read the fine print, Lifelock only monitors limited amounts and types of threats. Basically not a guarantee against anything besides getting your money. I haven't used it though; maybe others here have more knowledge.

@BillieBun Thank you. I will take this into consideration.

Welcome to the club of data breach victims.

Which ever corporate entity was hacked should be offering you a credit monitoring service for free for at least one year. Sooner or later when they have notified you. If not get on the phone with them and tell them they need to. Heck, Ticketmaster sent me such information two weeks ago. Case in point.
