So yesterday I put four large onions in my crock pot with a dollop of bacon grease.
Set it on low and waited. And waited. And waited.
Took way longer than the cast iron skillet, but I didn’t have to stir them hardly. Kept the top cracked open so the steam would cook off and I wouldn’t get the “soup” the I saw on most of the recipes I was reading.
I’m amazed at how much the cooked down. Taste pretty darn good too. Might have to make patty melts now.

The best turkey noodle soup I ever made was from the stock I got from slow cooking the turkey carcass after thanksgiving. Think I left it for 2 days. So good and so flavorful.
@MrsBentoBako Mrs heal3r makes some wonderful breads in ours, it's great just being able to make a loaf and not have the oven on heating up the whole house during the summer😀 Love the smell of fresh bread first thing in the morning👍
