I think a clever strategy- MAGAt ads on non-MAGAt outlets helps make sure the non-MAGAts are actively participating, and MAGAts need to feel like they are being oppressed to be really active.
@Old_Dave @MrsBentoBako While you are probably right, I think it's a strategy likely to backfire. It's tone deaf.
My guess on the theory-
MAGAt ads on non-MAGAt outlets won't gain any voters on that outlet, and won't lose any, but if the viewers are encouraged to make strong anti-MAGAt statements online that will energize the MAGAt base- give them a visible 'enemy'.
Is that wrong, right, I have no idea.
@Old_Dave @MrsBentoBako I think their cynical calculus is off. Another possibility: they are just burning up money. In which case, they know how bad things are.
@MrsBentoBako Actually, interesting. I'm noticing their missing more targeted audiences, too. I saw a magat ad on MSN in a very negative opinion piece. It's interesting because they aren't paying for better targeting. It's spray and pray. So...they can't afford better?
