Just because we’re driving to PA tomorrow for extended family Christmas doesn’t mean we have to wake up like it’s not winter break. For reference, I’m either up at 5:00am for work or 6:30 for school.

I’d say TGIF. But the weekend is my work week. 😳

Work bestie and I, essentially texting each other goodbye at the end of shift because she got floated and we both had “a day.”

My Station Eleven mug arrived today. 😍

6yo is writing music for her Papa (grandpa) to play on my ukulele because he forgot his guitar.

The lake effect snow did not disappoint. Woke up twice in the night. 2:00am. 3:00am. Nothing. Just some flurries whipping around in the wind. And now…

Me on my way to my sewing machine to make my child’s teachers’ holiday gifts:

I’m gobsmacked. Last year I got some stickers from Joann to put on Christmas cards for my coworkers. They were Christmas characters in all colors. Imagine my embarrassment when a friend pointed out that while she appreciated Black Santa on her Christmas card, he had white hands. Well I picked up my Joann order with this year’s sticker book, thinking “surely enough people would have complained that they would not make that same mistake twice.”

Surely it wouldn’t happen again… 😳

This is the mistletoe our 6yo made so she could demand mistletoe kisses of and from everyone. Mom, dad, stuffed animals, parakeets… only the fish are exempt. 🥹

I’ve been made to kiss Green Beans (teddy bear🧸) and Spaghetti (Stuffed Owl🦉) more times than I can count.
