When I got home from work, my love bug treated me to a spa day, complete with a lengthy hair brushing appointment, cucumber eye chill, and a mani/pedi followed up with fresh homemade cucumber mint lemonade. It was adorable and exactly what I needed.

Went to bed with wet hair. Too tired to diffuse last night. Woke up looking like King Louis XIV.

Oh look, it’s the budgie pic you didn’t ask for. Say hello to Perry, our fourth and FINAL (I mean it this time!) budgerigar. She’s in quarantine to keep the other three from getting any possible maladies she may be carrying. Soon after quarantine she will join the others in the Parakeet Palace that is almost as tall as me and stupidly expensive.

I just installed a screen protector flawlessly and on the first try. I am a legend.

Got this turmeric and cinnamon tea with a touch of honey steaming away while I finish my grits. Gonna be a good day.

When I went into Starter Villain by John Scalzi I was unsure if I would be even half as amused and captivated as I was reading Kaiju Preservation Society.

I don’t always get the warm fuzzies. But my husband helped me build a snowman before 8:30 to surprise our 6yo after school because the snow is finally sticky enough and THEN stayed out to build a second one because he grew up in India and snow was not a part of his childhood.

Here’s our ⛄️ not gorgeous. But he will do just fine to make a 6yo happy.
