Kiddo puked on the bus this morning (she has bouts of carsickness,) but of course as soon as she got to school we had to go get her. And naturally she had no fever nor did she get sick again at all for the rest of the day. So she got a long weekend. And I had a reason to not watch a lick of shitty news and instead watch the Muppets and The Naughty Nine (Ocean’s Eleven but with tweens and Santa) on Disney+. Not a bad day overall.
@EnochianEntropy not that I am aware of, unfortunately, but she loves them all. Today we enjoyed the Muppets Letters to Santa and few episodes of Muppet Babies.
@MotherDucker heh--yeah, that sounds pretty pleasant.
I'm having a real approach/avoidance reaction to news & social media today...
@rpardee yeah, I have had to shut off all news notifications from my phone/ipad. Hubs and I have been watching cooking shows at night to avoid seeing any news.
@rpardee this has led to the purchase of an absurd quantity of piping tips. Cake piping tips. Cupcake piping tips. Cookie piping tips. And the odd selection of cookie stamps.
@MotherDucker heh--there are worse ways to spend $...
@rpardee neither of us drink, so yeah… looking like we will be eating our feelings via expertly decorated baked goods.
@MotherDucker I know and love a child who puked a lot as a little person, probably almost always due to anxiety. The puking stopped about age 8 or so. This child is a joy - kind of like the character Randall in “This Is Us,” if you’ve seen it. A person who cares! I’ll bet your kiddo cares too! ❤️
@HopeSeeker that’s her to a T. Anxiety is a big antagonist for her poor tummy. I am really hoping she outgrows it.
@MotherDucker I think she will either outgrow it or learn to manage it. She is lucky ‘causeyou care! ❤️❤️❤️
@MotherDucker NEW MUPPET MOVIE?!
