This last two weeks leading up to Independence Day have felt like a year. The amateur fireworks have scared the beans out of me every night. Every single night. Iām an aggressively light sleeper. And once Iām up, Iām up. š« Iām exhausted.
@gemswinc I canāt stand earplugs since my daughter was born 6yrs ago. My husband sleeps too heavily for me to trust him to wake if our kid needed us. Also lately I canāt even do earbuds because I hear every sound happening in my skull magnified. And then I get stressed about the cadence of my breathing. It becomes a whole other ordeal. It snowballs in my head. Itās like if you give a mouse a cookie but with anxiety.
