Awful day at work. Verbally abused by someone (who I’m giving a pass) because her spouse died yesterday. But she was vicious. Made me feel so small and hated. I wasn’t even there when the patient passed. On top of some of the heavy stuff in my heart lately it was too much. 😭We had a code lavender and some amazing folks from our spiritual services came and gave us time to express ourselves or calm down with tea, mandalas, journals, snacks, aroma therapy, calming music, and provided reiki.

@MotherDucker hey I'm so sorry you went through this I don't know all the details and I don't have to know all the details I just hope that you and the rest your co-workers were able to somehow work through this... There's been plenty of jobs where I have gone through exactly what you just described for no reason and the times when I spoke up I became the bad guy I commend you for how you dealt with it
@MotherDucker Don't let anyone tell you what to do, or tell you the decision is easy, if/when you're faced with the choice to skip her a grade. Let her become bored and hate school? Or make her a social outcast among older classmates? Of course there are positives to each choice too.

But then I got home. Where my kindergartener showed me the certificate she was awarded for being a good citizen kid. And her literacy report which says on paper what I have long suspected. My child reads as well as a kid halfway through second grade. 📖💖
