Where are all my fellow chronic pain warriors? Be seen and heard. 💛

I was born with cervical and thoracic Spina Bifida. I will give you the least scientific, but shockingly effective description of said condition: Maybe God just had a little too much to drink and played Jenga with my C&T spine.

I have had 3 neck surgeries, absolutely cannot ride rollercoasters or off-road vehicles. "Rubbernecking" or double-taking can give me totaled car accident level pain.

@MotherDucker hi from a fellow chronic pain warrior ~ I have psoriatic arthritis, taking one day at a time, juggling my spoons

@Willowriverbloom very nice to meet you. 🦾 You are super strong (but you already knew that.) You're going to have to explain about the spoon juggling (I mean, if you want to!) I have never heard that before.

@MotherDucker 🙂 spoon theory ~ we have a certain number of spoons ( energy, things we can manage) and we need to weigh up how many "spoons" we can spend on any one thing before pain, burnout etc set in and we run out of spoons me-pedia.org/wiki/Spoon_theory sorry if I'm explaining something you've heard of 🙂

@Willowriverbloom I've heard this presented in various ways! Just never as the spoon theory. Thanks for teaching me something new today. ☺️
