It’ll come as a surprise to no one I’m sure, that the shooting occurred in Georgias 10th district. That district elected a fecal nepo moron named Mike Collins, who claims Biden “stole” the election. Not content with that simple baseless assertion, he ran a campaign ad where he says this while holding a gun, and then shoots a voting machine which then exploded.
So, no ”thoughts and prayers” for these victims- this is what that district voted for. Armed and violent imbeciles detached from reality.
The next time anyone wants to shoot up a school, can we trick them into shooting up a retirement home/community?
Maybe that’ll move the needle on this reluctance to do anything about the guns.

I’m having a recurring dream where a discovery of a novel type of magnetism turns out to be the result of it being part of an as-yet unrecognized life form, I somehow think about and worry over this, but everyone thinks I’m nuts. Much later is the realization that we’ve been committing a horrible cruelty. The magnetism is some other creature’s method or function for its nervous system. It’s been in agony that it can’t escape.
Whoops.

A zillion years ago when I was in college for the first time and didn’t understand how maniacally dishonest course descriptions could be, I signed up for a course that was an analysis of humor, thinking it might be like an Art Appreciation kind of deal. Oh fuck no. It was horrible and not at all amusing.
