A zillion years ago when I was in college for the first time and didn’t understand how maniacally dishonest course descriptions could be, I signed up for a course that was an analysis of humor, thinking it might be like an Art Appreciation kind of deal. Oh fuck no. It was horrible and not at all amusing.
