Anybody ever tried drying #3Dprinting filament in an oven? I have some bronze silk colored filament that has really soaked up the high humidity and makes snap crackle pop sounds when passing the hot end :/
Also, 60 percent humidity in the house? Fffff…
@Brisse @MookyTroubadour maybe a food dehydrator, though with interior humidity that high and the relatively low temps dehydrators work at it may still not work.
@Damobius @MookyTroubadour PLA's suggested dehydrating temp is 40-50C... so some type of dehydrator, I've never had an issue with mine being wet (yet) but I keep it stacked with my wood in the wood cabinet. 🤷♂️
@Brisse @MookyTroubadour good to know. We're in the CA Central Valley so humidity has never really been a problem on the too-much end 😁
@Brisse it is Reprapper PLA. I’m trying intense desiccant exposure at the moment but don’t hold much hope.
@MookyTroubadour 🤔 If it's PLA the oven likely can't get low enough temp to dehydrate it properly.
