#Refineries all over the #Houston area are flaring off chemicals that cannot be safely stored during the freeze.

Refineries do more than make gas for cars. We all depend on these chemicals for everyday life. Not all refineries, especially the extremely old ones in the Houston area, are equipped to safely store or affordably store them during extreme freezes. (This is part of the reason why some companies are unloading these plants.)
