My Mom passed on Dec 8, 2006 — so I recently went through an anniversary of loss. This memory helped me (and hope it will help you)— I was crying in her hospital room and she woke up (she had been non responsive for some days). She asked why I was crying. I said, I don’t want you to leave! She said, Oh, Mary—I will always be with you.

She was right. She’s here always.

I’m a Chicago person — I found you bc of your hashtag. I haven’t been here for very long myself but I’m enjoying the site a lot. You might want to consider a PRO subscription— that seems to unlock some helpful features. Plus it supports the community. I also found it helpful to download the pdf of the Users Guide. It’s a great reference tool.

A lot of us are here because we value a social space where the prevailing norms affirm tolerance and support creativity. Where there are (group) norms, individuals don't have to work so hard to police their own social boundaries. I thought about this a lot and then wrote an essay.
