I couldn't help it. Once I saw Amazon had "WKRP in Cincinnati: The Complete Series" on sale for Black Friday, I had to buy it. One of the funniest TV shows ever.

"Up" was released four years before my wife and I got married, and a year after we started dating.

The "Married Life" sequence in the beginning twele minutes hits a whole lot harder now.

Every Doctor Who fan has their favorite incarnation of the role. Mine is the 4th. Tom Baker was and always will be the epitome of the character. And for me, Sarah Jane Smith was the best companion ever. He loved her very deeply, and it is clear why. Courageous, honest, fiercely loyal and kind, embodying everything about humanity that so endeared us to the enigmatic Time Lord. Elisabeth Sladen played the role so perfectly.

I understand game reviews are generally created and shared to inform the public about where they should spend their money, but seriously, they only go so far since they present a form of entertainment through one set of eyes.
With that said, I'm actually enjoying "Star Wars Outlaws". Would I spend $70 for the base game if I hadn't gotten a free copy from buying a new PC a couple of months ago? No. Wait for a sale, and for the bug fixes.
But I am having fun. Your mileage may vary.

Still waiting for someone interviewing a political candidate to ask the most important question of all . . . "Are you a Toys "R" Us kid?"

Just finished watching "Doc Hollywood" for about the 100th time. Movie never gets old. A great early 90's classic comedy.

There are two kinds of people in this world . . . those who prefer the original "99 Luftballoons" by Nena, and those who prefer the English version "99 Red Balloons" (oh, okay, maybe there's a third kind of person who doesn't like either version, but just humor me, okay?)

THAT scene from "Aliens" has forever ruined my ability to lift the covering to the attic and peek inside. It's likely a squirrel making those noises up there, I know that, but still . . .

Life keeps teaching us lessons every day, and none more profound than "It doesn't matter how things start, but the hard work that gets us to where we want to be." Case in point, Canadian film director, film producer, screenwriter, and actor, Shawn Levy.

While studying at Yale, he made his feature film debut in the low-budget horror movie "Zombie Nightmare". Yeah, that movie, the one you might've seen on MST3K.

Now read his résumé on IMDB.

Here endeth the lesson. 😉

This Wednesday at 6PM CT/7PM ET, the MFG Drive-In Theater Show presents 1979's "Time After Time"!

"H.G. Wells pursues Jack the Ripper to the 20th Century when the serial murderer uses the future writer's time machine to escape his time period."

It's difficult to argue against the opinion that Sylvia Sidney was one of the most beautiful actresses who ever lived.

We should rethink the Gregorian calendar year notations to fit a more modern sensibility.

Out with BCE and CE, and BC and AD.

How about, BBG and ABG?
"Before Bee Gees" and "After Bee Gees"?

Okay, I can take a hint, First Alert. Brush, palette, and canvas are all back in the box. Everyone's an art critic.

While acknowledging that all Star Wars movies are valid in a myriad of ways, and that like children they all have their strengths and weaknesses that make each of them no less or more valued than the other . . .

But let's be real. Empire is still the best.

I JUST realized I left out Snoopy's name in my last post about his mother and father.

Yes, it was that kind of week at work, where useless information deleted words from the communication between my brain and fingers.

As an apology, here's a picture of Snoopy and his siblings at the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm - Spike, Belle, Molly, Andy, Olaf, Rover, and Marbles.

Snoopy was adopted first, and when Lila had to bring him back, his brothers and sisters had already been adopted in the interim.

I've always considered myself something of a Peanuts aficionado, but only in recent years did I learn that his mother and father are Missy and Baxter, respectively. His mother was once part of a theater group, and his father is an avid fisherman and canasta player.
