For many of us who grew up during the 80's, a substantial portion of us developed what can be best described as "Yankovicitis". which is the spontaneous desire to rewrite a song title or lyrics to create a parody.

For example, on the way home from the dentist today, upon listening to "Rooster" by Alice in Chains, I heard "Yeah, here come the rooster" and reworked it into "Yeah, Daniel Larusso" and started to turn it into a ballad for our beloved Karate Kid.

Thank you, again, weird Al.

@MisterFoxGuy I do that too, all because Weird Al did it. To this day, whenever I hear a song Weird Al did a parody of, all I hear is the parody, most notably "The Saga Beings" ( parody of "American Pie" ).

@ProjectShadow I do it all the time with "Fat" and "Eat It". Can't listen to "Bad" or "Beat It" without singing the lyrics to the Weird Al parodies! 😂
