@Minholkin Kinda hard to concentrate on anything other than the hearings😩
@AnnieBlue Matilda (1H1) looks like she may fly a little today. She's already achieved a bit of vertical lift!
I love these beautiful babies so much.

@th3j35t3r @CommonSenseGent Far as I know, all our cities are still there. Maybe he's referring to the burning of Atlanta during the CIvil War?
@jacquieb I binge watched the first 2 seasons recently, and am on season 3 now.
@habibti That should be @[email protected].
@DanceLight Erm, which crazy guy? There are so many…
@jacquieb You’ve watched Homeland, I assume? That’s what I’ve been binge watching.
Not sure what services you have access to, but…
“Deadwood” is great. There’s also “Mad Men” (which I haven’t watched yet) and “Breaking Bad.”
In the deceased network series column, there’s “Person of Interest”, “CSI” (that’ll keep you going for a while), “Lie to Me” (loved it). And there’s my favorite series, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” (I’m such a Buffy nut that I’ve used Buffy references to name 3 cats.)

@dccc1055 well, it did work out regarding the Senate.
@Meredith i guess I should have tagged this #goptaxscam
Reading a recent Krugman’s column about the #taxlawscam reminded me of something I’ve long wondered: how do people read legislation that modifies existing law? Do they use minions to merge in the changes and then read the resulting laws? Is there software that helps that along?
@wildnfree FB was great for reconnecting with HS classmates. I almost entirely posted non-personal stuff—news stories with commentary, beading pictures, infographics (created by me), until my mom died and my brother waged war on me. It was a great source of support during a horrible and traumatizing time, when I was far from home at my mom’s house. Other than that, tho, having to hide what my life was really like and the contrast with others became too much.
@liminal Yeah, but how do we persuade the big names to come over?
@aengel @Dmx Virtually everything I know regarding computers/programming/technology I taught myself. About all I learned my from CS degree were finite automata and basic data structures.
In 1985 I got a job programming statistics curriculum on the Mac. In the interview, I said I didn’t know how to program a Mac but I was sure I could learn. Of course, pretty much no one except for Apple employees knew how, so that wasn’t as much of an obstacle as it appeared.
