#MondayMemories
While New England & environs are facing a spring winter storm warning, I share this photo from the last big snowstorm we had, in January 2022. We have a snow deficit; only 4" over 2 winters.
I promise there are steps in front of the #MarshallFoundationLibrary!
Morning, @LlamaMountainStudioArts
What's Grayshale? I am not always good with cultural references; hardly watch TV or movies and don't have a clue who most of the folks on the award red carpets are.
This is Sweet Pea, a tiny lamb, rejected by her mama. She is bottle fed every 3 hours and currently hanging out at her family's ice cream stand so she can be fed.
Pea is a Hog Island breed: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hog_Island_sheep
Hog Island is on the Eastern Shore of VA.
Good morning!
I am not an April Fooler, so this is genuine weather.
It's 50 F and cloudy, heading for a very warm high of 84 F. Showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. Although we had none, there was hail a bit north of us yesterday.
I took the day off, so have projects planned indoors because of the weather.
Lets make it a kind day and lay off the pranks.
That's the weather from the ancient VA Blue Ridge.
Added another print to my shop that I made over a year ago but has just been sitting in my studio. This is a 6x6β Linocut of a rabbit. $50 with free domestic shipping. I know Easter is over but you can carry on the vibe. #art #artistsofcoso #rabbit #printmaking #linocut

80 years later, #DNA analysis helps identify remains of 19-year-old Virginia sailor killed in #PearlHarbor attack
David Walker, of Norfolk, Virginia, served as a Mess Attendant 3rd Class while assigned to the battleship USS California.

@Mandypar Sleep well.
Good Saturday morning!
We survived the wind. Lots of branches down, but I don't see any trees fallen. I will have to check the old brick chimney at the homestead up the mountain.
The power came on about 4 a.m. So glad we have the generator; it worked like a charm. Wise investment since we live in the woods.
Windy and high of 75 F, and still breezy. High fire danger.
That's the weather and a bit of news from the ancient Blue Ridge of VA.
Let's make it a kind day.
Brace yourselves, Illinoisans: A truly shocking number of cicadas are about to live, make sweet love, and die in a tree near you. Two broods of periodical cicadasβare slated to emerge together in central Illinois this summer. The last time that these broods swarmed aboveground together, Thomas Jefferson was president and the city of Chicago had yet to exist. https://arstechnica.com/science/2024/03/the-entire-state-of-illinois-is-going-to-be-crawling-with-cicadas/
