@Maude
Guess I'm not wild. 8.
@JeSsA @catlynne333
It's really an extension of my canning and food storage -- my goal is to have all nonperishable needs for several months.
I'm not a "prepper."
I have had sickness, unemployment, and disaster in my life and being able to take care of mine is important.
@JeSsA
The store of Mom? Began during COVID when all three lost jobs while in school, and has continued as a way of helping as they each launch themselves into the world. I have nonperishable food, paper products, cleaning supplies, and laundry supplies
The only rule is return the canning jars.
Lead article in this quarter's Army History magazine is by Dr. M. Ashley Vance, whom I met as a researcher #InTheLibrary; who has spoken at the #MarshallFoundationLibrary; and who now is helping the effort to digitize the George C. Marshall Papers.
So glad to call her a friend.
@Minholkin
Mondays are always wild cards. I plan, the universe laughs.
Adapt and overcome.
@JeSsA
And don't get me started on how tariffs will affect the produce section ...
No bananas
no grapes
no avocados
no limes or lemons
@JeSsA
Also laying in a bit more flour, yeast, and oil; as well as beans and rice.
I want to have enough that my grown young adults can shop at the store of Mom if they need.
@AnnetteTRemain @catlynne333
And a lot of them aren't, see Hurricane Sandy.
No one is going to secede; no state could survive without federal monies and the proposed tariffs would kill the idea.
@AnnetteTRemain @catlynne333
But where ISN'T a hurricane zone? It's 450 miles from Asheville, NC to the Gulf Coast.
@ceorl
And ultimately unsuccessful.

@LlamaMountainStudioArts
Morning! Chilly but going to warm today. Need a aweater in the morning but not afternoon. How's the sheep enclosure coming?
@CherNohio
The seasons repeat, thankfully. I didn't make any jam this year.
@CherNohio
How are you and your hubby doing?
Goid morning, @Mandypar -- is it still morning?
Have you been back on the tilt table? How's that going? How are you feeling?
Good morning, @Minholkin
What's on the agenda today? Besides going about encouraging good, for which we all depend on you.
I support your efforts and hope to become more like you.
I would love to enjoy #CoSo movie nights. Where I live there is no Internet -- the existing infrastructure cannot handle the signal -- nor data due to line-of-sight towers and our mountains.
I hear a lot about rural broadband but I am not holding my breath. There is no ROI out here.
If the U.S. had pursued rural electrification at the speed they are broadband, we would still be using oil lamps in the Appalachians.
