I am a librarian, and believe in the freedom to read and research. I also believe that librarians have the right to do their jobs without being bullied or threatened.
I am so very sad to report that Mychal Threets -- one of the best librarians I know -- has suffered so much social media and other bullying that he cannot do his job, and is leaving the library field.

A very good friend of mine was a librarian at a State Woman's prison & recently got fired for allowing a woman to check out books while having overdue ones unreturned.
No good deed goes unpunished in the slammer. 💔😭
