Even though I'm a Patriots fan, I wholeheartedly feel for Jets fans. Yes they got the win last night, but they most likely lost any true chance for a deep playoff run. This was the year they were supposed to get deep in the playoffs if not have a chance to win it and now that chance looks slim.

@MarvelousMadi13 If you push all your chips onto the middle of the table and bet on one player, you had better have a Plan B.

@gshevlin Their best bet is their run game this year. If Zach Wilson can manage to be decent and they can run the ball they may do ok. I do agree though on a plan B, especially with an aging QB like Rodgers.

@MarvelousMadi13 The NFL is full of teams who bet big on a Quarterback. Those big bets almost never work well.
Right now, the 49ers are without a first or second round pick because they traded a boatload of picks for Trey Lance. They were saved from ignominy by the unexpected success of Mr. Irrelevant, Brock Purdy.
Many moons ago Jerry Jones traded two first rounders for Joey Galloway and then watched as he ruptured an ACL in his first game.
It's a long list.

@gshevlin Def a long list! You'd think teams would learn that the chances on betting big on one player generally don't work.

@MarvelousMadi13 It is usually owners who want to "make a splash" or fall in love with one particular player and see him as the savior of the franchise.
As a result, the team ends up paying way over the odds for a player. Anything more than two first round picks is way too much.
